Sorini
Popularity
Sorini has one upcoming show in the Netherlands: on February 21, 2027 at Pletterij debat en cultuur, Haarlem.
About
Sorini mixes jazz with elements of Latvian folk music and poetry, and the accordion at the center of the lineup gives the band a sound that is hard to pin down. The result is lively and intimate at the same time. Accordionist Nadina Podinska took third place at the accordion competition in Trossingen, Germany, in 2024. The band treats live performance as the main event. They chase spontaneity and freedom, creatively and emotionally, and describe their music as something that can be comforting and frightening in equal measure. Honesty is the starting point, and the idea is to leave an open space where the audience can share the moment and the feelings that come with it.
