Sowulo (NL)

About

Sowulo is the project of Dutch multi instrumentalist, composer and producer Faber Horbach, built around atmospheric dark folk deeply rooted in pre Christian, pagan traditions. Collaborating with members of neofolk group Heilung, Faber crafts melancholic and immersive music that connects thousands of listeners worldwide to what he describes as their cyclical and spiritual nature. Live, the project expands into something genuinely imposing: a ten piece Viking Orchestra bringing together historical and acoustic instruments including nyckelharpa, carnyx, Celtic harp, Irish bouzouki, large shamanic drums, strings and vocals. The album NIHT is among their recorded works.
