About
Also known as: Special D, Speical D
Hamburg born DJ and producer Dennis Horstmann, who records as Special D., made a serious dent in the early 2000s Eurodance scene with his track "Come with Me", which climbed to number 6 on the UK Singles Chart and number 4 in Ireland in 2004. That same year he picked up the Best Dance International prize at the TMF NL awards in the Netherlands, where his fanbase was particularly strong. Tracks like "You" and "Here I Am" kept his name on European dance floors well after that initial breakthrough, and his music even found its way onto the soundtrack of Crank: High Voltage. He built a solid following in North America's Eurodance community too, no small feat for an act from Hamburg. These days he incorporates Ableton Live into his live sets.
