About
Steebs Method is a jazz rap band from Groningen that blends boom bap beats with rich jazz harmonies and reflective, story driven lyrics. It grew out of a strong need for creative freedom and doing things on their own terms. At the front is the rapper STEEBY, real name Jesse Kortenschijl, who fell for hip hop through its honest storytelling. Tracks like 'Alright' and 'Rat Race' helped make him a recognisable voice in the northern Dutch hip hop scene. Behind him stands The Method, a jazz soaked hip hop band of young players from the north of the Netherlands and beyond. They're known for lively live sets with intricate arrangements, showy solos and beats that make your head nod. Between 2022 and 2025 he sold out Simplon in Groningen twice and played ESNS and SPOT festival, as well as shows across the country.
