Stephan Moccio has a knack for writing songs that end up everywhere. The Canadian composer, pianist and producer co wrote Celine Dion's "A New Day Has Come", which sat at number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart for a record 21 weeks, and co wrote Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" from her 2013 album Bangerz. He also co wrote and co produced "Earned It" for The Weeknd, which landed nominations at the Grammy Awards and the Academy Awards, and contributed as a producer to The Weeknd's Grammy nominated album Beauty Behind the Madness. Moccio's work spans TV themes for Canadian broadcasters, the official theme for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, and collaborations with artists ranging from Andrea Bocelli to Avril Lavigne. He works out of a studio in Santa Monica and records exclusively on Yamaha pianos. Signed to Decca Records since 2019, his album Lionheart earned a Juno Award nomination for Instrumental Album of the Year in 2023.
