About
Scott Woodruff is essentially a one man studio operation who writes, records, produces, and plays almost everything on a Stick Figure record himself, which makes it all the more impressive that the band has racked up billions of streams and gold album certification across eight full length releases. Founded in 2005 out of Duxbury, Massachusetts, Stick Figure roots itself in reggae, dub, and roots reggae, with Woodruff layering individual tracks on top of each other to build songs, a technique that gives the music its dense, textured feel. Albums like Burial Ground hit number one on both the iTunes and Billboard Reggae charts, earning praise for its bass heavy one drop beats and dub touches. On the road, Woodruff is joined by a full live band, and they have shared stages with Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid, and Collie Buddz, as well as festival crowds at Bonnaroo and Coachella.
