About
Also known as: Aaron Cooks
Stove God Cooks burst onto the scene in 2020 with Reasonable Drought, a debut album entirely produced by Roc Marciano that quickly earned a reputation as one of the best records of the decade. The Syracuse rapper, who had been quietly sharpening his craft under the mentorship of Busta Rhymes since signing to The Conglomerate Entertainment in 2015, found his full identity with that release. His dense, street level lyricism slots perfectly into the drumless, East Coast sound Roc Marciano champions. From there he became one of the more in demand voices inside the Griselda collective, popping up on Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher projects and earning a co sign from Kevin Durant for his feature on Tana Talk 4. He followed Reasonable Drought with a second Roc Marciano collaboration, If These Kitchen Walls Could Talk, and has kept the momentum going with EPs and singles since. His latest project, All This For Me?, is set to be fully produced by Swizz Beatz.
