About
Studio Apartment have been quietly shaping Japanese house music since 2000, when DJ and producer Masanori Morita and keyboardist Noboru Abe joined forces. Their 2004 album World Line put them on the international map, largely thanks to "Flight" featuring Monique Bingham, a track that became a genuine worldwide hit. From there they built a loyal global following by working with house royalty like Kenny Bobien, Kerri Chandler, and Dennis Ferrer, and launched their own labels, Apt. and Apt. International, to bring world class dance music to Japanese audiences. They have never been content to stay in one lane. By 2007 they were remixing pop acts and producing for mainstream J pop artists, and their 2012 album Nihon no Uta went full crossover, featuring the likes of Miyavi, May J., and Kishidan. After an eight year gap between studio albums, they returned in 2020 with 2020~, proving they are still very much in the game.
