SWV, short for Sisters With Voices, spent the 1990s putting out some of the most memorable R&B of the decade. The New York trio of Coko, Taj, and Lelee racked up a string of hits that still hold up, including "Weak", which went all the way to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Right Here (Human Nature Remix)", a clever lift of Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" that sat on top of the R&B charts for seven weeks. Their debut album It's About Time went multi platinum and introduced a style that blended new jack swing with silky vocal harmonies. Their second album New Beginning gave them another signature track in "You're the One", and it also quietly marked the debut of producers The Neptunes on "Use Your Heart". Release Some Tension in 1997 brought in an impressive roster of guest names including Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, and Snoop Dogg. After going separate ways in 1998, the three reunited in 2005, and have since sold over 45 million records worldwide.
