About
SYA is an acoustic trio of three women who sing in close harmony and play just about everything between them. Amanda Muller handles vocals, guitar, flute, mandolin, bass and percussion. Yvonne Leek sings and plays piano, accordion and percussion. Daphne van de Bor covers vocals, guitar, bass, harmonica and percussion. That spread of instruments lets them move easily from folk and country to pop. Their theatre show Her Legacy is a tribute to the songwriters they look up to, including Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Dolly Parton and Joan Baez. They mix songs by those heroes with stories about them, and slip in some of their own material too.
