About
Talha Anjum is one half of Young Stunners, the Karachi duo that helped put Urdu rap on the map in Pakistan. Together with Talhah Yunus, he built a reputation for sharp, street level lyricism, and their 2021 tracks like "Gumaan" and "Afsanay" cemented them as a serious force in desi hip hop. Anjum draws on the poetic tradition of Jaun Elia, mixing local humour and social commentary into a flow that connects hard with younger Pakistani listeners. His solo run has been just as impressive. The 2023 debut Open Letter scored him two Lux Style Award nominations, and his 2024 follow up My Terrible Mind, put out with American label Mass Appeal, came wrapped in a short film called Kattar Karachi that went on to win Film of the Year at the Lux Style Awards. By the end of 2024, Spotify named him the most streamed local artist in Pakistan, with 17 of his tracks landing in the top 30 Pakistani songs on the Spotify Global Impact list.
