Teebs makes the kind of music that rewards close listening. Working under the "beat music" banner, the Los Angeles producer layers harps, shakers, drum taps and even the sound of tape peeling into something genuinely delicate. His 2010 debut Ardour on Brainfeeder drew serious attention, with LA Weekly calling it one of the most lovely albums of the year, and he has kept building on that foundation ever since. His third album Anicca, released in 2019, brought in collaborators like Panda Bear, Pink Siifu and Sudan Archives, showing a wider sonic ambition. Teebs also works as a visual artist and is one half of Sons of the Morning, a duo with Prefuse 73. Most recently he dropped the single Did It Again with Panda Bear, backed with a b side called NES, keeping that long running creative relationship going.
