Terry Hunter has been shaping Chicago house music since 1990, when his debut production 'Madness' quietly became an underground hit. Since then he's built a reputation as one of the genre's most trusted remixers, putting his stamp on tracks by Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, and Beyoncé, among others. His remix of Beyoncé's 'Break My Soul' and Mariah Carey's 'Workin' Hard' earned him back to back Grammy nominations in 2023 and 2024 for Best Remixed Recording, adding to an earlier nod in 2015 for his production work on Jennifer Hudson's 'It's Your World'. Beyond the studio, Hunter is deeply woven into Chicago's house music fabric. He became the first new member of the legendary Chosen Few DJs in nearly 30 years back in 2006, and in 2011 he organized the first Chicago House DJ Day, gathering 100 of the city's most influential DJs in one place. He also runs T's Box Records, the label he launched in 2004 to nurture the next wave of house talent.
