About
The Army, The Navy is a folk pop duo from New Orleans, made up of Maia Ciambriello and Sasha Goldberg, and they built a real following the old school way: TikTok. Their debut EP Fruit for Flies dropped in March 2024 and the track "Vienna (In Memoriam)" quickly became a standout, earning a spot on Knocked Loose guitarist Nicko Calderon's favorite releases of the year. A second EP, Sugar for Bugs, followed later that same year, and both records got a vinyl release through boutique label Positively Records. The duo has spent a good stretch of time out on the road, opening for names like Paris Paloma, Dora Jar, and James Arthur before launching their own headline tour in 2025. Their debut album Fake Brave Life arrived in June 2026, and the buzz around it was real enough to land them a Times Square billboard, something the band themselves seemed genuinely stunned by.
