About
The Cool Quest are a Dutch funk, hiphop and rap group who got their start from a 2010 jam session in Sneek, Netherlands. Their debut album Funkin' Badass dropped in 2014, the same year Radio 6 named them Best Soul and Jazz Talent. They kept the momentum going with a string of singles and picked up the awards for Best Group and Best Live Act at the Radio 6 Soul and Jazz Awards 2015, plus the title of 3FM Serious Talent that same year. Their second album Vivid arrived in 2018, and the single Goodlife from that record ended up on the NHL 19 video game soundtrack, which gave them a nice boost in reach. Singles like Punisher, Temporary and YOU got what i need followed in 2020, all getting solid rotation on Dutch radio. The band also won the Popprijs Overijssel in 2018, proof that their blend of groove heavy funk and laid back rap has found a genuine audience.
