When Dire Straits stopped performing in 1995, they left behind a catalogue that refused to fade. The Dire Straits Experience exists to keep that music breathing, built around former Dire Straits member Chris White alongside six accomplished musicians. Their sets draw from the original repertoire, covering songs like Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing and Private Investigations with a commitment to authenticity that goes well beyond nostalgia. The collective brings serious pedigree to the stage. Members have worked with Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner and Mike Oldfield, among others. White himself considers vocalist and multi instrumentalist Terence Reis the one performer capable of matching Mark Knopfler's distinctive vocal and instrumental style, which sets the bar for the whole outfit. Younger audiences have responded just as warmly as longtime fans, keeping demand for this music as strong as ever.
