About
Coming out of the American East Coast, The Iron Roses play a combustible blend of melodic punk, hardcore and ska that hits hard without losing its hooks. The band is fronted by a queer femme duo whose vocal interplay moves between raw vulnerability and outright confrontation, giving the music a tension that few acts manage to sustain. Politics runs through everything they do, but it never tips into bleakness. Their songs go after injustice and inequality while insisting on joy, autonomy and community as genuine acts of resistance. Live, that combination lands somewhere between a protest rally and a release valve, the kind of show where people leave feeling less isolated and considerably more ready to fight.
