The Neighbourhood are a Californian band whose biggest song, "Sweater Weather", peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and then found a second life nearly a decade later through radio airplay and Spotify. They started out in 2011 with two free and self released EPs before signing to Columbia Records for their debut album, I Love You., in 2013. They even took the British spelling of their name on their manager's advice, so they wouldn't clash with another band. They like to keep things moving. A mixtape called #000000 & #FFFFFF, packed with guest spots from names like YG, Danny Brown and G Eazy, landed in 2014, followed by Wiped Out! in 2015 and a self titled third album in 2018. Their fourth, Chip Chrome and the Mono Tones, arrived in 2020. After an indefinite hiatus announced in 2022, the band hinted at a return to making music in August 2025. Frontman Jesse Rutherford also runs a solo career on the side.
