About
The Paradox hit the ground running faster than almost any band in recent memory. Formed in Atlanta in June 2024, this all black pop punk group went from posting songs recorded in an apartment to opening for Green Day and Jack White within a single month, after their debut track "Kaitlyn" went viral. They are the first all black punk act to reach number one on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart, which they achieved with "Get the Message," a track that also landed on the NBA 2K26 soundtrack and earned a shoutout from LeBron James. Their sound pulls straight from the early 2000s pop punk playbook, with Eric Dangerfield citing Blink 182, Green Day, Sum 41 and New Found Glory as touchstones. The band signed with Hundred Day Records, a Virgin Records subsidiary, and released their debut EP NSFW in 2025, which brought together singles including "Do Me Like That" and a collaboration with Travis Barker on "Bender." Their second EP, Proceed with Caution, followed in 2026.
