The Robots Are Coming

About

The Robots Are Coming, or TRAC for short, is an electronic duo from Tilburg making cinematic electro that leans dark and futuristic. Raw basslines, glitchy textures and driving rhythms do most of the talking. Their debut album, 2095, imagines a future where humanity gets overtaken by its own creations, and it tries to hold on to some emotion amid all the machine precision. Daft Punk, Justice, Underworld and Hans Zimer are the names they point to as inspiration. They work out of a hardware based studio packed with vintage synthesizers, drum machines and guitars, and they run everything independently, from the sound to the visuals. Live, they skip the laptops and play synths, drums, guitar and vocals for real, backed by a custom light show locked in sync with the music. 2095 won the 3voor12/Tilburg Song of the Year award, and the duo has played Best Kept Secret, Hall of Fame in Tilburg and Totaal Festival.
