About
Also known as: The Soap Girls
The Soap Girls are a sister duo from Cape Town, South Africa, made up of Noemie and Camille Debray. They play alternative rock with a riot grrrl and punk streak, and they don't sit comfortably inside one genre box. The two have worked side by side as musicians for most of their lives, and that closeness is a big part of how the band runs. Before the bigger stages, they were street performers in South Africa, building up their sound and their nerve in public. From there the band grew into a touring act that has played internationally, still anchored by the same two sisters who started it.
