About
Thijs Willers won first prize at the Prinses Christina Concours in 2023, also picking up the Matangi Quartet Prize and performing twice alongside that string quartet as a result. He studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he is part of the Sweelinck Academie voor Jong Talent, and he has appeared on Podium Klassiek as one of its featured young heroes. His concert history already includes a Shostakovich tribute with the Ferschtman family. A classical pianist with a growing performance record, Willers is now stepping into solo recital territory, presenting programmes that span the full range of Western art music from Baroque to contemporary.
