About
Thomas Heikoop is a Dutch jazz singer and trumpet player with a restless range of experience behind him. He graduated cum laude from the Conservatorium van Den Haag in 2020 with his show In Vol Ornaat, then completed a Bachelor in Jazz Trumpet at the Conservatorium van Rotterdam in 2024 with another music theatre piece, Duivels Dilemma. As a session musician he has worked alongside Douwe Bob, Do, Joke Buis, Michelle David and Willie Wartaal, among others. He holds a regular spot in the house band of Gijs Groenteman on NPO2 and is a frequent face at Club Dauphine in Amsterdam. Chet Baker is a clear touchstone for Heikoop, whose theatre programme Having a Chet with Baker draws on Baker's melancholy as well as Heikoop's own songs and personal story. He also performs as a solo artist on cruise ships worldwide, and his session credits across Dutch and international stages keep growing.
