Three Drives are best known for "Greece 2000", a Dutch progressive trance track that first came out in 1997 on Massive Drive Recordings and then got bigger releases through ZYX Music and Hooj Choons. The 1998 remix package climbed to number 12 in the UK, which is not bad for a club record from the Netherlands. "Sunset on Ibiza" followed in 2000 and became their other signature tune, and they kept landing UK chart entries into the early 2000s with tracks like "Carrera 2" and "Air Traffic". The act started as a duo of Erik de Koning (DJ Enrico) and Ton van Empel (Ton TB). Van Empel left in June 2014, so de Koning carries it on alone. He has been busy under other names too, including Fate Federation, Tangled Universe and Love Foundation. The catalogue keeps growing, with a run of releases through the 2010s such as "Chakra", "Athena" and "Barracuda", plus a collaboration with Binary Finary on "Icon".
