Toronto's ThxSoMch, the project of Carter De Filippis, made a serious impression right out of the gate. His fifth single 'Spit in My Face!' landed in late 2022 and took on a life of its own, racking up over 690 million streams on Spotify, peaking at number nine on the US Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart, and hitting number one on the UK Independent Singles Breakers Chart. Ones to Watch called it a dark indie rock anthem, which feels about right for his post punk revival sound. After a string of rapid fire singles through late 2022, he dropped his debut EP Sleez in May 2023. More recently he put out a full studio album, The Sound of You Laughing, in 2025, showing he's not just a one single story but an artist building something with real staying power.
