About
Tilar is a nine piece German band that blends jazz, disco, funk pop and R&B into a sound that hits hard in a live setting. Founded in 2019, the group is led by vocalist Clara Lucas and keyboardist and producer Joshua Milo, with a four piece horn section rounding out the lineup alongside drums, bass and guitar. Their live shows have a reputation for being genuinely energetic, and that energy translates online too: concert videos edited with a comedic touch have racked up millions of views on Instagram and TikTok, building the band a steadily growing international following. In 2024 the group released two records, Unite & Heal and TILAR LIVE 2024, both stepping across genre lines. Festival appearances at Leverkusen Jazz Days and the Montreux Jazz Festival have put them in front of serious jazz audiences alongside broader crowds.
