Tilburg Bigband has been a fixture of the Dutch jazz scene since 1958, rooted deeply in the city of Tilburg. The ensemble brings together 19 musicians, a mix of conservatory students and seasoned professionals, all working under the musical direction of Daan Morris. That breadth of experience gives the group a sound that spans jazz and related styles, balancing fresh energy with real craft. Their self stated mission is to be a creative breeding ground for musical talent and to bring that talent back to audiences. It is an approach that keeps the band genuinely connected to the community it grew up in, rather than just passing through.
