About
Also known as: Till Broenner, Till Bronner, Till Brönnerl
Till Brönner is the kind of jazz trumpeter who doesn't stay in one lane. The German musician from Viersen built his reputation on a warm, accessible sound that sits somewhere between classic jazz and contemporary smoothness, and his 2004 album That Summer made him the bestselling jazz musician in German history, landing at number 16 on the pop charts. That crossover appeal has never felt like a compromise with Brönner: his records tend to be genuinely well crafted, whether it's the bossa nova flavors of Rio, featuring Sergio Mendes and Melody Gardot, or the duo intimacy of Nightfall with bassist Dieter Ilg, which went platinum. Beyond the trumpet, Brönner is also a singer, composer, producer, and photographer who has composed film scores including for a documentary about Tour de France. His 2006 album Oceana brought in Carla Bruni and Madeleine Peyroux as guests, produced by Larry Klein. Now in 2025 he's back with Italia, a new project that signals yet another chapter for one of Europe's most consistent jazz voices.
