About
Tiny Housesessions is a collective of musicians who are also friends, and that closeness is the whole point of what they do. Their sound draws on gospel, neo soul and r&b, and they play it in a warm, intimate way that puts feeling ahead of polish. The band comes from a mix of cultural and musical backgrounds, and it shows in the songs. They write original material in English, Dutch and Malay, telling stories about love, faith, strength, roots and identity. Live, the harmonies are soulful and the storytelling is personal, and a lot of the magic comes from the way the players bounce off each other and the audience. Their aim is to reach more people in the Netherlands and to make a space where music, culture and stories meet.
