About
Todd Terje built his name on remixes and re edits in the mid 2000s, and his stage name is a nod to house producer Todd Terry. Mixmag called him the "King of the summer jams", and Spin counted him as one third of the Holy Trinity of Norwegian disco. His best known track is "Inspector Norse", while "Alfonso Muskedunder" got a second life when it turned up in an episode of Better Call Saul. His debut album, It's Album Time, features a cover of Robert Palmer's "Johnny & Mary" with Bryan Ferry. He has a long list of collaborators. He co wrote Robbie Williams' "Candy", which hit number one in the UK, and co produced two tracks on Franz Ferdinand's Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. With Lindstrøm he made the single "Lanzarote". Live, his brother Olaf drums and Martin Windstad adds percussion. He has played Sónar, Coachella and Pitchfork Festival, and in 2016 he released The Big Cover Up, an EP of disco covers under the name Todd Terje and the Olsens.
