About
Also known as: Phantom Novy, Tom Movy, Tom Novy & Lima, Tom Novy ft Lima, Tomy Novy & Lima
Tom Novy is a Munich DJ and producer who has shifted gears more than once over the years. He began producing in 1994 with "I House U", a cover of the Jungle Brothers' "I'll House You" that came out on the Munich label Kosmo Records. His early originals leaned towards European flavoured progressive house, but he later moved to a Chicago style garage house sound, usually with vocals on top. He has also been a busy remixer and collaborator, working under aliases like Casanovy, Yvonn and Tom & Jerry, and teaming up with acts such as TV Rock, Snap! and Eniac. His remix credits include Roger Sanchez, Fragma and FilterFunk. Away from the decks, he was a familiar face on German television, hosting music shows on MTV Germany and VIVA, including Dance Floor Charts and Battle of DJ's.
