About
Toronto's Tomb Mold have built a serious reputation in death metal circles since forming in 2016, cranking out a run of albums that kept the underground buzzing. Their second record Manor of Infinite Forms and the follow up Planetary Clairvoyance cemented them as one of Canada's most compelling acts in the genre, blending punishing death metal with progressive and grindcore sensibilities. After a quiet stretch with no new material, they returned with the EP Aperture of Body in 2022 and then moved fast: their fourth album The Enduring Spirit dropped in September 2023, just four days after it was announced. The record earned a longlisting for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize, a nod that put them squarely on the radar beyond the death metal faithful.
