About
Born in Barcelona and based in Amsterdam, Ton Felices works as a bassist and composer whose music refuses to sit still in any one genre. His debut album So Warm, released on DOX Records, pulls together jazz, electronics, songwriting and free improvisation into something that feels genuinely personal. The record draws on contrasts he finds in nature, in everyday life and in his own thinking, letting detailed compositions sit alongside open electronic textures and improvised passages that keep the listener guessing. Felices builds music where different worlds collide and then blur into each other, leaving space for the imagination rather than spelling everything out. Fans of artists like Nils Petter Molvær, GoGo Penguin and Tigran Hamasyan will find familiar territory here, though So Warm has its own distinctive shape.
