About
Tonight Alive picked their name by cutting out words they felt described the band and pulling a few from the pile. The Sydney group formed in 2008, with Jenna McDougall joining as vocalist the day before her sixteenth birthday. They played support slots for metal bands and small festival shows like Warped Tour before landing deals with Fearless Records and Sony Music Australia. Their debut album, What Are You So Scared Of?, was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Mark Trombino and features Blink 182's Mark Hoppus on Thank You and Goodnight. The follow up, The Other Side, debuted at number 5 on the ARIA chart in 2013 and spawned the singles Lonely Girl and Come Home. They also wrote The Edge for The Amazing Spider Man 2 soundtrack. Limitless arrived in 2016, and the band released their fourth album, Underworld, in January 2018. They even made KROQ's list of top Australian bands back in 2010.
