About
Toxe, the Swedish producer and singer born Tove Agélii, first caught attention in 2015 when she dropped her debut EP Muscle Memory at just 17, all while juggling high school and playing gigs at Berghain, Sónar, and Club To Club. Her sound draws on industrial club music, leftfield R&B, and fractal electronic textures, and she has never been shy about unexpected references: one early track sampled Britney Spears's "Toxic", and she marked her high school graduation with a Slipknot remix. Her 2018 EP Blinks on PAN earned serious praise, and a collaboration with Berlin producer Mechatok followed in 2019. After completing an architecture degree in New York, she wrote and produced her debut album Toxe2, released in August 2024 on Year0001. Mixmag described it as a bright and emotive body of work that pairs her innovative production with real melodic feeling, and the single "Som En Sol" landed on Vogue's list of contenders for song of the summer.
