About
Transport League have been hauling heavy riffs out of Partille, Sweden since 1994, built around guitarist and vocalist Tony Jelencovich as a side project that clearly outgrew its origins. Their sound pulls from the likes of Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Pantera, and Sepultura, landing somewhere in the heavier, more aggressive end of the doom and sludge spectrum, with technically demanding instrumentation that keeps things from ever feeling like simple chug and grind. After disbanding in 2005 and reuniting in 2009, they hit their stride with a run of albums that kept pace year after year. With ten studio albums to their name, Transport League have shown serious staying power. Producer Roberto Laghi, who worked with them across multiple records, helped shape the post reunion sound. Their 2024 album We Are Satan's People on Black Lodge Records is the latest chapter, proving that after three decades they are still very much at it.
