Travis Scott has built one of the most distinctive catalogs in modern hip hop, blending trap production with psychedelic textures and a live show reputation that borders on spectacle. His 2018 album Astroworld was a turning point, landing at number one on the Billboard 200 and delivering 'Sicko Mode' featuring Drake, his first number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He followed that up with Utopia in 2023, a fourth consecutive chart topper that spawned top ten hits with Drake, Playboi Carti, Bad Bunny and The Weeknd, and came paired with a short film called Circus Maximus blending music with experimental cinema. Scott also runs Cactus Jack Records, the label he founded in 2017 that has brought through artists like Don Toliver, SoFaygo and Sheck Wes. Outside music he has collaborated with Nike, Dior and McDonald's, among others. His career has not been without serious controversy, most notably the crowd crush at the 2021 Astroworld Festival in Houston that killed ten people. In 2025 he released the single '4x4', which hit number one on the Hot 100, and JackBoys 2 topped the Billboard 200, making it his sixth consecutive chart topping album.
