About
Trevor Hall blends roots, folk, and reggae into something that feels genuinely spiritual rather than just stylistically borrowed. His conversion to Hinduism in 2006 shaped not just his personal life but the core of his songwriting, and themes of devotion, love, and inner exploration run through pretty much everything he makes. He has built his following album by album, and his 2017 Kickstarter campaign for The Fruitful Darkness became the top music crowdfunding campaign that year on the platform, a sign of just how loyal his fanbase is. His 2020 record In and Through the Body stretches across folk, roots rock, indie, and electronic sounds, all threaded with what he describes as a far Eastern influence. Before that, he headlined Red Rocks Amphitheater in 2019 alongside Nahko and Medicine for the People and Ayla Nereo, a milestone for any independent artist. His catalog goes back to 2004, and across that whole stretch he has stayed remarkably consistent in what he is after: music that actually means something to the people listening.
