Tyrone Wells is a Seattle born singer songwriter who built his name on warm, acoustic driven folk pop with a knack for landing in the right place at the right time. His song "Sink or Swim" turned up in promos for the season 6 premiere of Grey's Anatomy, and "Time of Our Lives" closed out the long running soap opera As the World Turns. That kind of emotional resonance is kind of his thing. His 2009 album Remain, recorded partly in London with producer Martin Terefe and collaborators including Snow Patrol co writer Iain Archer, pushed him toward a fuller sound, but he keeps pulling back toward the acoustic. The Metal and Wood EP sat at number one on the iTunes Singer Songwriter chart for nearly three weeks, and Where We Meet debuted at the top of the same chart in 2012. He also fronts the duo Oh the Larceny and the band Royal Deluxe, keeping things busy across multiple projects.
