Atlanta's Upchuck play punk rock with a live energy that's made them one of the more exciting acts to come out of the city's DIY scene. Vocalist KT Thompson fronts a tight five piece that built its reputation through house shows and skate parks before graduating to festival stages like Afropunk. Their 2023 album Bite the Hand That Feeds was produced by Ty Segall, who tracked them down after hearing their debut and invited them to his Harmonizer Studio in Los Angeles. That's a pretty solid co sign. In 2024 they signed with Domino Recording Company, and their third album I'm Nice Now landed in October 2025, again produced by Ty Segall, this time at Sonic Ranch Studio in Texas. Recent official videos for tracks like "New Case" and "Forgotten Token" suggest the new record is getting a proper rollout.
