Stuttgart's VENUES have been quietly building one of German post hardcore's more compelling back catalogues since forming in 2015 under the name Break Down a Venue. They hit a real stride when their 2018 debut album Aspire landed a glowing reception from Kerrang!, which named it Album of the Week. The band shares a dual vocal setup, pairing clean and unclean vocals, and their lineup has seen some changes over the years, most notably when founding frontwoman Chrisi 'Nyves' Krithinidou stepped away in early 2019. Newcomer Lela Gruber stepped in to fill that role and the band kept moving. Their second album Solace followed in 2021, and they pushed further with Transience in 2024, showing a group that has no interest in standing still.
