About
Also known as: Reinaldo Santiago Pacheco
Villano Antillano put Puerto Rican neoperreo on the global map when her 2022 collaboration with Argentine producer Bizarrap, "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 51", cracked the top ten in Uruguay and Spain and landed on charts across Latin America. The track gave her visibility far beyond the queer spaces where she had already built a devoted following. She identifies as transfemme non binary and uses she/her and they/them pronouns, and her music has always carried that identity with intention, pushing back hard against the machismo and homophobia baked into mainstream urban music. She started releasing music in 2019 with the EP Tiranía, which tackled prejudice against LGBT people, and has kept a steady pace since. Her 2022 album La sustancia X and collaborations with artists like Young Miko and Paopao cemented her place in the new wave of Puerto Rican music. More recent videos like "Cuero" and a collab with Pedro Capó called "Reina de la Selva" show she has no intention of slowing down.
