Vintage Culture, the project of Brazilian DJ and producer Lukas Ruiz, has built a reputation on remixes that genuinely reimagine their source material. His takes on New Order's "Blue Monday" and Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" sit alongside reworks of Brazilian classics like Cazuza's "Bete Balanço", showing a range that stretches well beyond the usual house DJ toolkit. His 2016 remix of Sofi Tukker's "Drinkee" landed at number four on the Beatport dance chart and stayed in the top ten for over a month, and "Wild Kidz" caught the attention of Oliver Heldens, EDX and Sam Feldt while breaking into Spotify's Global Viral list. Working out of Brazil, he is also a manager at the label Só Track Boa, and has collaborated with acts including Adam K, Fancy Inc and Dubdogz. By 2023 he had climbed to number ten in the DJ Mag Top 100, his best placing yet. Recent output includes a collab with Fancy Inc on "In the Dark" and a remix of Maverick Sabre's "Slow Down" featuring Jorja Smith.
