Warbringer built their reputation the old fashioned way, grinding through the LA thrash revival scene in the mid 2000s before Century Media signed them after a rep caught them at a local show. Originally going by the name Onslaught, they switched things up once they realized another band already had that name, and Warbringer stuck. Alongside acts like Evile, Havok and Bonded by Blood, they became one of the defining bands of the late 2000s thrash metal revival. Their second album Waking into Nightmares hit No. 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, recorded in just 12 days at Sharkbite Studios with Gary Holt of Exodus producing. Constant lineup shuffles never seemed to slow them down, and seven full studio albums later they are still one of the more serious thrash outfits to come out of the United States.
