WESTSIDE BOOGIE

About

Also known as: Anthony Dixson, Boogie

Compton rapper Westside Boogie, born Anthony Dixson, built a following through a run of gritty, honest mixtapes before landing deals with both Interscope Records and Eminem's Shady Records. His debut studio album Everythings for Sale dropped in January 2019 and pulls together features from Eminem, JID, and 6lack, covering themes that range from street life to emotional vulnerability with a cool, measured delivery. Tracks like "Rainy Days" and "Silent Ride" show his knack for blending West Coast atmosphere with something more introspective than your average Compton rap. That mix of raw storytelling and melody is exactly what caught the attention of names like Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar. His second album More Black Superheroes arrived in 2022, showing he has no intention of slowing down.
