About

Whiskey Falls packed a lot into a short run as a country act. The Nashville quartet, built around vocalist Seven Williams, guitarist Wally Brandt, and the pair of Buck and Damon Johnson, landed two Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart with "Last Train Running" and "Falling Into You" from their 2007 self titled debut on Midas Records Nashville. Nashville's Music Row named them Breakout Band of the Year for 2008, and they turned up everywhere from People Magazine to The Jimmy Kimmel Show. Their novelty cut "Load Up the Bases (The Baseball Song)" somehow crept into the country charts twice, purely from unsolicited airplay during the 2007 and 2008 World Series. Guitarist Damon Johnson eventually went back to Alice Cooper and later joined Thin Lizzy, while Williams and Brandt shifted focus to their TV and film production company, writing themes for shows like Dance Moms, Minute to Win It and Sarah Palin's Alaska. The band briefly reconvened for a Christmas single in 2011 before going their separate ways for good.
