Yara Beeks Band

About

Yara Beeks fronts her own band with a clear voice and a laid back stage presence. Her setlist mixes original songs that feel personal and sincere with country classics by the likes of Dolly Parton, Ilse de Lange and Johnny Cash. Many people first got to know her through her run on the TV programme Talent Unplugged, where her musical style and the way she carried herself on stage made an impression. With the band behind her, the music moves between rich multi part harmonies, quiet songs made for listening and more energetic numbers. It all sounds familiar and warm, and you can see the players enjoying it. Our database files the act under soul and funk, but the live set leans clearly towards country.
