Young Franco, the Brisbane born DJ and producer whose real name is Joseph Da Rin De Barbera, has spent years building a reputation as one of Australia's sharpest electronic acts. Festival regulars will know him from sets at Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival, and his 2021 collab with Tkay Maidza, "Real Nice (H.C.T.F.)", reached well beyond the dance floor when it was picked up as the official theme song for the A League soccer competition. He blends influences ranging from funk and disco to jungle and drum and bass, keeping his sound restless and hard to pin down. January 2025 brought his debut studio album It's Franky Baby, which also delivered the track "Lose Control" featuring EARTHGANG and Jafunk, a sign that his collaborative instincts are as sharp as ever.
