About
Also known as: John Saviours Udomboso, Young John
Young Jonn spent years quietly shaping the sound of Nigerian pop before stepping into the spotlight himself. Working out of Hit Factory Studio, he racked up credits on some serious heavy hitters, including Olamide's "Story For The Gods", Lil Kesh's "Gbese", and Davido's "Biggest Backside", which earned him a Producer of the Year nod at The Headies 2015 and a spot at number three on The NET's list of Nigeria's top music producers. He eventually made the leap to frontman, signing with Chocolate City and releasing his EP Love Is Not Enough in 2022. The single "Dada" became his breakout moment, later remixed with Davido. His 2025 album Blue Disco is a 21 track project featuring Wizkid, Asake, Olamide, Rema, and Focalistic, and it debuted at number one on Apple Music Nigeria. He blends afrobeats, afropop and afro R&B into something that feels both polished and loose, which makes sense given how long he spent on the production side.
