Young Nudy built his reputation through the Slimeball mixtape series, a run of Atlanta trap projects that eventually landed him a multi million dollar deal with RCA Records and Same Plate Entertainment. His flow is dark and slithering, perfectly suited to the eerie, off kilter beats that producer Pi'erre Bourne became famous for, and the two teamed up for the breakout collab Sli'merre in 2019. That same year, a leaked track called "Pissy Pamper" with Playboi Carti turned into a full blown internet phenomenon, with Carti performing it at Coachella and an altered version hitting number one on Spotify's US Viral 50. His studio albums kept the momentum going: Anyways earned a strong Pitchfork review, Dr. Ev4l and Rich Shooter followed in 2021, and Gumbo in 2023 gave him a top 40 Billboard Hot 100 entry with "Peaches and Eggplants" featuring his cousin 21 Savage. He is also a Grammy nominee, recognised for his feature on Dreamville's "Down Bad" alongside JID, Bas, J. Cole and EarthGang.
